What is Highlighter Pen?

Highlighter Pen is a Chrome extension for annotating webpages with text highlights, drawings, arrows, sticky notes, and text boxes. It helps with reading, website reviews, bug reports, and sharing feedback.

Free includes the annotation tools, up to 20 annotations combined per page, and normal screenshots with a watermark. Pro removes the annotation limit and watermark, and adds HD PNG, PDF, Markdown feedback lists, local history, and custom source information.

Pro saves annotations locally in this browser and restores them when you return to the same URL. It does not sync annotations between devices. Changes to a website can affect restoration; export important work as a backup.

Pro captures the visible page at the browser’s native device resolution and scales up only when needed to reach at least three image pixels per CSS pixel. Upscaling does not create details missing from the original capture.

No. Pro exports a screenshot of the currently visible page area as a PDF. It does not stitch the full scrolling page or preserve selectable webpage text.

Pro is listed at 9.99 USD as a one-time payment. Sign in, complete checkout using the same email address, then refresh payment status on the extension’s Pro page. The checkout shows the final amount and applicable taxes.

Annotations and export files are processed locally. Accounts and payment verification use online services, including Supabase, Google sign-in when chosen, and Stripe checkout. See the Privacy Policy for details.
