How do you report a website bug with annotated screenshots?

Show exactly where a problem occurs instead of asking someone to infer it from a plain screenshot.

Add to Chrome ↗

How do you do it?

  1. Open the affected webpage and reproduce the issue in the visible area.
  2. Use an arrow to point at the problem and add a text box with expected and actual behavior.
  3. Capture the annotated view. With Pro, export a watermark-free PNG or PDF and a Markdown feedback list for your report.

What should you know before starting?

What is free, and what requires Pro?

Free includes the annotation tools, up to 20 annotations combined per page, and normal screenshots with a watermark. Pro removes the annotation limit and watermark, and adds HD PNG, PDF, Markdown feedback lists, local history, and custom source information.

Does PDF export capture the entire webpage?

No. Pro exports a screenshot of the currently visible page area as a PDF. It does not stitch the full scrolling page or preserve selectable webpage text.
